Tyler Miller is an average high school student with an average dysfunctional family. Tyler gets busted for writing graffiti on school property and spends the rest of his summer doing outdoor work in order to pay for the damages. Because of his rebellions actions, Bethany Milbury is now interested in Tyler. Dating Bethany opens up a whole new can of worms and causes many problems. Tyler now has a different perspective with school, his family, and the world in general.
Anderson captures a lot of the essence of a teenage boy in this book. This book is excellent for teen boys who are reluctant readers.
