A small girl bonds with her dog during her parents divorce. She sleeps in two different beds in two different homes. No matter where she is sleeping, her dog, Fred, goes along with her. He causes some trouble as he barks at the neighbors’ dog, makes a mess in the car, and eats her dad’s socks. Her parents are upset about the trouble Fred is causing and want to get rid of him. The little girl refuses to let him go. The parents figure out a way to keep Fred and to keep him out of trouble.
