2008 Printz Honor Award

Dreamquake by Elizabeth Knox
2008 Printz Honor Award

Laura Hames a Dreamhunter, reenacts a dream for the sleeping patrons at the Rainbow Opera dream palace with a horrible nightmare that exposes a government conspiracy. Now because of Laura everyone knows about an awful and sickening dream used by Cas Doran and his Regulatory Body to control prison convicts. With this information, Laura opens a war for control of the Place, the source of dreams. At the end Laura and her family bring justice by finding a way to reveal the government secret to the public.

What I most liked about this novel is how it seems like one giant puzzle needed to be put together in order to see the whole picture. If you enjoy reading books that are unpredictable then you will truly take pleasure in reading this fantasy novel.
